Dr Orot said the exports will be transported via the Kisumu International Airport once the cargo section is complete.

“We expect the cargo area to be complete in two months so that we can start exporting the products,” Dr Orot said.

“Angola is rich in minerals but citizens do not farm. That is why we want to export food to the country,” he said.

Dr Orot  added that Juba cargo airline has also expressed its willingness to help transport goods to South Sudan once the repair of the airport is complete.

He therefore urged residents to invest in poultry farming so as to meet the demand for poultry products. The county is also planning to build a fish processing plant.
