Police foil robbery attempt at Tharaka-Nithi deputy governor’s home

Police on Wednesday night thwarted a robbery attempt at Tharaka-Nithi Deputy Governor Mati Murithi’s home.

The suspected robbers armed with pangas tried to enter Mr Murithi’s homestead but were repulsed by police guarding the home.

The home is in Kituo Village, Tharaka South Sub-County.

Some of the suspects were arrested and were being questioned at the Marimanti Police Station.

Tharaka South OCPD Dominic Mukoma said police were investigating the incident.
