The Eldoret West OCPD Samuel Mutunga was Tuesday morning rushed to hospital after he collapsed during a security meeting.

Mr Mutunga was attending the morning security briefing at the county police commander’s office at Central Police Station in Eldoret Town.

He was said to have indicated that he was not feeling well during the meeting that began at 8am.

Sources said he collapsed an hour into the meeting and his colleagues rushed him to hospital.

Uasin Gishu County Police Boss Joseph Kine confirmed the incident but said the OCPD was stable.

“There is nothing to worry about because everything is under control.

“We managed to rush him in to hospital in good time and so far the doctors have attended to him and is recuperating very well,” Mr Kine told the Nation by phone.
