Man stabbed to death in bar fight in Kisumu, mob beats assailant

A 28-year-old man died Monday morning after he was stabbed during an argument at a nightclub in Kisumu.

Kisumu County Commissioner Mohammed Maalim said the man, identified as Billi Evans Onyango, died on admission to the Aga Khan Hospital.

“The victim passed on while undergoing treatment at the hospital,” Mr Maalim told Nation.co.ke.

Club Signature is one of the most popular entertainment spots in the lakeside town.

The suspected attacker was also taken to the same hospital after he was beaten up by an angry mob.

“We expect the management to tell us what measures they are putting in place to ensure no more lives are lost.

“They are scheduled to appear before the county security and intelligence committee in our next meeting,” said Mr Maalim.
