Administrator urges locals to help stop arson in schools

Parents and people living near schools have been asked to report suspicious activity to reduce schools fires.

Speaking in Majengo slums, Meru County Commissioner Wilfred Nyagwanga asked the public to guard schools from further arson.

“Today we have opened schools and you know the fracas that was witnessed last term. Let the people living near our schools guard our public schools,” he said.

Mr Nyagwanga noted that it is up to the communities around public schools to aid in policing them and reporting any suspicious activity.
