Nation Media Group's Meru-based journalist David Muchui and his sweetheart Pamela Mutegi are now officially husband and wife.

The couple tied the knot in a colourful ceremony held in Meru Town on Saturday.

Muchui, who is also an ordained pastor said “I do” at the Kenya Methodist University chapel in a fabulous wedding followed by a sunset toast at Ebony Gardens.

Pamela’s parents, Mr and Mrs Mutegi Ragwa walked her down the aisle as David smiled while his parents, Mr and Mrs Japhet Nkari watched.

Quoting the Bible, a shy-looking David said of Pamela: “I have loved you with an everlasting love, therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.”

Guests ululated as Muchui was asked by the presiding pastor to kiss the bride or hug her “as they were now husband and wife and free to do anything.”

David did not disappoint. He covered the bride with her gown and kissed her.

At the end, the two love-birds held hands before joining guests for a photo-session outside the church.

The nuptials were followed by a cocktail reception and then dinner and dancing.
