A 29-year-old woman is being treated at Meru County Teaching and Referral Hospital after she was burnt by her husband on Sunday night.
Rebecca Nkirote, from Anjalu in Igembe North, suffered burns on 20 per cent of her body after her husband poured hot food on her.
She sustained burns on her stomach and back.
The incident comes a week after a 30-year-old woman lost her hand after her husband attacked her with a panga.
She is also recuperating at the Meru hospital.
