Meru County is hosting a forum to educate the community on child online protection.

The forum aims to establish secure cyber environment for children.

Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has collaborated with county governments in the project.

The authority says at least 25 per cent of the country's internet users are unsupervised children between the ages of 12 and 17 and they are exposed to online predators.

It also provides public education programs on child rights and child protection through community awareness, media events, school and community outreach sessions and parenting education
