Coast Regional Coordinator Nelson Marwa has rubbished reports that he has been moved to the volatile Rift Valley region.

Rumours have been going round that the fiery regional boss, who has been giving the opposition sleepless nights at the Coast due to his firm stand on various issues, had been moved.

On Wednesday, ODM communications official Philip Etale tweeted that Mr Marwa had been transferred.

However, his statement was dismissed by Director of Digital Communication in the Office of the President, Dennis Itumbi.

"Do not listen to these people telling you Nelson Marwa has been moved from #001," Mr Itumbi posted on his Facebook page.

Speaking to the Nation Friday morning, Mr Marwa laughed off the reports.

"Those are your stories in the media. I am not aware of what you people are talking about," he said.

Mr Marwa is normally seen by Jubilee supporters as the “antidote” to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, who is fond of criticising President Uhuru Kenyatta and his administration.
