Security has been beefed up at the Murang’a Teachers College ahead of the selection of the county's Jubilee Party Elections Board.

Only aspirants were allowed to access the venue Tuesday morning with their vehicles being parked outside the compound.

At least 50 police officers were deployed to ensure that the elections were peaceful.

Last week, the meeting turned chaotic after aspirants differed on the list of members elected.

Roadblocks have also been mounted along the Kenol-Nyeri highway.

Deputy County Commander Johnstone Limo warned against any chaos.

"If anyone attempts to disrupt the meeting we will deal with them," he said.
