Lang'ata bar shooting leaves one injured

Police in Nairobi are investigating circumstances under which a licenced firearm holder shot himself in the hand at a bar in Lang'ata on Sunday afternoon.
Mr Jimmy Mutuku was with his friends at Kengeles bar when he accidentally shot himself on the left thumb.
It is not clear what he was doing with the firearm at the time of incident.

The firearm, Glock pistol, loaded with 13 rounds of ammunition, is being kept by the police.
Investigations have been launched to establish the circumstances leading to the shooting.
The Civilian Firearms Act requires all holders to safely keep their firearms and only remove them when need be. They should not be exposed, especially in public or social places.
