A Briton charged with trafficking narcotics valued at Sh598 million will not be freed.

High Court judge Luka Kimaru on Monday evening stopped a Kibera magistrate's decision to release Jack Alexander Wolf Marrian on a Sh70 million bond.

Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko had moved to the High Court to challenge the bond terms.

Mr Marrian, a grandson of a colonial Cabinet minister, was being remanded at Industrial Area Prison pending the processing of the bond.

The case will be heard on Tuesday.
