Karume’s grandson arrested over drug trafficking

Former minister Njenga Karume's grandson has been arrested in Nairobi in a cocaine and marijuana trafficking investigation.

James Njenga Kihato was arrested together with Lawrence Muketo Ngula and Joseph Mutua Kimeu in his house in Lavington.

Detectives recovered several pounds of imported high-grade marijuana and sachets of hard drugs, including cocaine.

According to the police, LSD is highly addictive and popular among young people in Nairobi.
