Two children were abandoned by a man believed to be their father outside a hotel on Latema Road in Nairobi.

Newspaper vendors said they found the children near Nyota Hotel at around 5.30am.
They said the children were lying on the cold pavement shivering.
Matatu operators along Latema Road said they saw the man leave the children and walk away.
Central Police boss Paul Wanjama said he sent officers from the children's protection unit, based in Kamukunji Police Station, to the scene.
When the officers from the protection unit arrived at the scene, they found well-wishers had bought warm clothing for the children.
Susan Boke, an officer with the protection unit, told Nation.co.ke that the unit would get in touch with Mama Ngina Children’s Home to take in the children.
“We have had these cases often and most parents never bother to follow up where their children were later taken,” she added.
