Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke denies falling out with Kidero

Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke has denied claims that his boss, Dr Evans Kidero, will drop him during the 2017 General Election.

Mr Mueke said the governor has no reason not to have him as his running mate.

“I have never given Dr Kidero a reason not to have me as his deputy as we have no friction since we work together,” said Mr Mueke.

The deputy governor, who has been accused of deliberately not appearing with the governor at public events, said this was a non-issue since there has been equal division of tasks between the two.

Mr Mueke said he was not power-hungry and could not engage in a fight with the county boss.
