Three thugs shot dead after hijacking bus in Nairobi

Three suspected criminals were shot dead near Nairobi’s Sameer Park on Mombasa Road at 9pm Monday night.

Police said they were part of a six-man gang that commandeered a bus from Thika Road and robbed passengers of valuables.

The gang boarded the vehicle belonging to Rockers Bus Company posing as passengers but hijacked the bus near Homeland area.

The gangsters were armed with guns and knives.

Three escaped by jumping through the windows after police intercepted it on Mombasa Road.

A bus belonging to Citi Hoppa was hijacked by robbers in another incident on Jogoo Road.

The bus, that was travelling to Umoja area. The thugs alighted at Kiambiu slums after robbing passengers.

The passengers were robbed of cash amounting to Sh27,000 and mobile phones.
