President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to make a major announcement on matters related to the Jubilee Party at State House tomorrow.

The announcement will be televised, according to a statement from the Presidential Strategic and Communications Unit (PSCU).

President Kenyatta’s announcement will be a culmination of months of political intrigues around the formation of the Jubilee Party, on whose ticket he is expected to seek re-election.

The head of state’s announcement comes amid heightened political activities by members of the Jubilee coalition to popularise the giant party.

Just recently, MPs led by Moses Kuria (Gatundu South) announced that they had formed a movement dubbed "70 per cent Plus 1", which they explained was to get more support for the President’s re-election.

The president also met politicians from Nyamira and Kisii counties and urged them to support his bid by convincing residents to back him.

Already, New Ford Kenya party has been dissolved and absorbed into the Jubilee Party.

However, all has not been well, with constant bickering from parties under the Jubilee coalition and each trying to take an influential post in the new outfit.
