Former AP officer charged with sexually abusing daughter

A former administration police officer was on Monday charged at a Nakuru court with raping his 14-year-old daughter.
The ex-officer was said to have committed the offence on diverse dates between January 1 and December 31, 2014 at Ngeira Farm Administration Police post in Njoro sub-county.
The former officer and the child’s mother separated more than two years ago.
The court heard that he had repeatedly abused the girl and warned her against disclosing it to anyone.
He was arrested on June 22, this year at his home, after his daughter reported the matter to the police.
However, he denied the charges and was released on a Sh200,000 bond with a surety of a similar amount.
The hearing date was set for August 8.
