Former NTSA chairman Lee Kinyanjui ahead in Nakuru Jubilee primaries

Nakuru’s gubernatorial aspirant Lee Kinyanjui has taken an early lead in the race as results started trickling at the county tallying centre at the Nakuru Show ground.

The county has 900 polling station and results from various polling centre indicated that Mr Kinyanjui is widening the gap against incumbent Kinuthia Mbugua.

Provisional results by 7am indicated that Mr Kinyanjui was ahead with 75,028 votes with Mr Kinuthia taking second position with 49,317 while Mr John Mututho was trailing with 11, 242 votes.

Mr Kinyanjui was leading in most of the strongholds of Mr Kinuthia in Naivasha, Molo, Kuresoi, Rongai, Gilgil and Bahati while in Nakuru, he had also taken an early command.

However, results from Njoro another stronghold of Mr Kinuthia had not been received as there was a delay voting.

Subukia, Kuresoi South and Kuresoi North are also regarded as the Mr Kinuthia’s strongholds but results from various polling stations indicated he was trailing Mr Kinyanjui.
