I’ll floor my opponents, says Governor Kinuthia Mbugua

Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has exuded confidence that he will floor his opponents and clinch the Jubilee Party ticket in Friday’s primaries.

Through his director of communications Eddy Kimani, Mr Mbugua said he was optimistic of a landslide win.

“I will show them dust in the primaries,” he said.

The governor dismissed his opponents, promising them “a humiliating defeat,” saying his development record speaks volumes.

“My opponents do not have an agenda for the county and they better be prepared for a humiliating defeat. I will show them dust in the primaries,” said Governor Mbugua.

The governor enumerated his achievements over the past four years saying they are notable “for everyone to see”.

“I am sure the people of Nakuru will give me another five-year term to complete the work l began. After all my development record speaks for itself,” stated the county boss.

HEALTH SERVICES

He said his administration has scored big in health, with improvement of services in Nakuru’s level five hospitals and other health facilities across the county.

Others areas that have been improved, according to the county boss, include construction of roads and markets among other projects.

Mr Mbugua further called for peaceful nominations and urged residents to shun divisive politics during the election period.

He said the elections will be free and fair and urged aspirants claiming that they will be rigged out to exercise sobriety.

“Let us vote peacefully as elections come and go. Let us maintain and preach peace,” added Mr Mbugua.

In Friday’s Jubilee nominations, Mr Mbugua will square it out with former NTSA chairman Lee Kinyanjui and former Naivasha lawmaker John Mututho.

Others who have expressed interest in the seat include Nakuru Senator James Mungai and Mr James Koskei, a former assistant minister and close ally of Deputy President William Ruto.
