A nominated senator has criticised UDF leader Musalia Mudavadi for suggesting that the party’s politicians should not support the Jubilee Government.

Ms Martha Wangari, who was nominated to the Senate by the party, said it was wrong for Mr Mudavadi to “dictate” how the party’s senators, MPs and county representatives should conduct their business.

“I am disappointed in my party leader for even thinking that he can order us on whether to support the government or not,” she said.

She was speaking at Kiptangwanyi, where she launched the Martha Wangari Foundation and donated items to 16 football teams.

“We are all Kenyans and the government is for all of us.”

The senator said it was important to support the government of the day to promote development.
