Nakuru AIC Bishop David Nga’ng’a dies at Kijabe Hospital

hThe bishop in charge of the Africa Inland Church (AIC) in Nakuru passed away on Monday.

Rev David Ng’ang’a, 61, died while undergoing treatment at AIC Kijabe Hospital in Kiambu County.

He was overseeing more than 400 churches in the Nakuru and Nyandarua regions at the time of his death.

The bishop is survived by his wife and seven children.

His son, Josephat Ndung’u, said the family was saddened by the sudden death of their father after a short illness.

Mr Ndung’u described the father as loving, caring and a good friend to the young and old in the society.

“We will miss our father,” said Mr Ndung’u.

Professor Teddy Kamau, who taught Bishop Ng’ang’a at Florida Christian University in the US, described him as a progressive man who encouraged the clergy to seek higher education.

“Bishop Nga’ng'a sought the truth of God and lived to fulfill that truth in his life and the life of the church,” said Prof Kamau.
