What you need to know:

  • The traders pleaded to be considered as their families stood to suffer, blaming their MP, Mr David Gakaria, for approving the allocation.

A group of traders have disputed the allocation of news stalls that were built by the Nakuru East CDF.

The traders have been angered by a list of beneficiaries they claim contains names of those who were not previously trading at the Biafra market stalls but excludes them.

“As sub-tenants, we were promised a stall each when the new stalls were being constructed but were surprised when our names were excluded,” said an aggrieved trader.

PLEADED TO BE CONSIDERED

They pleaded to be considered as their families stood to suffer, blaming their MP, Mr David Gakaria, for approving the allocation.

The group had contacted the CDF office but was referred to their representatives who distanced themselves saying “we never voted them into office in the last General Elections”, according to the trader.
