Nyeri: Two bodies found dumped in dam

Two bodies were founded dumped in a dam in Tetu, Nyeri County on Saturday morning.

The bodies were found in Ithenguri Dam by residents.

The two had their hands and legs tied with belts and ropes.

“Residents reported that the body of a woman had been spotted floating but we were shocked to pull out a man’s body.

“We were prompted to continue to search because there were feminine belongings floating around and that is when we found a second body,” said Mr John Marete, the Nyeri County Assistant Commissioner.

Residents said they were concerned over the number of bodies found in the dam.

“This dam is supposed to help us water our farms but it has become a dumping site for bodies,” said Mr Nelson Ndero, a resident.
