Thirdway Alliance presidential candidate Ekuru Aukot has urged voters in Turkana County to turnout in large numbers on October 26, 2017 and vote for him.

During his campaign tour on Monday, he urged the residents not to accept to be misled by the Nasa team to shun the election which he said is constitutional.

He urged Nasa not to interfere with the electorate on the polling day, saying that voting is a constitutional right of every Kenyan.

Dr Aukot decried the state of the economy which he said has suffered as a result of prolonged squabbling, saying the earlier the election is held to allow the country to move on the better.

He further dismissed the dialogue that Nasa is calling for, saying the only dialogue that is allowed is in the nurses’ strike but not in elections.

Dr Aukot said what the Supreme Court ruled was that that repeat election should be held within 60 days and not otherwise as demanded by Nasa.

He told Turkana residents to only give him a push for him to lead the country, saying that writing the constitution was more difficult than being President.

As a constitutional expert, he participated in the writing of the current constitution.
