Nasa principals meet at Bomas of Kenya

Nasa principals are meeting at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi, where they are expected to make a major announcement regarding the opposition flag bearer in the August elections.

ODM leader Raila Odinga has said that Nasa will announce the team that will carry its flag to the general elections.

He says the alliance will travel to all parts of the country to campaign.

Nasa will now be headed by a pentagon reminiscent of the one formed by ODM in 2007.

Goons attack vehicle in Kisii ODM primaries

Youths on motorcycles have attacked a vehicle carrying ODM ballot materials at Mosando Bogiakumu Ward in Kisii County and destroyed ballot boxes.

The pickup was ferrying the materials to Nduru Secondary School which is the tallying centre for the South Mugirango.

Mr William Meroka, who was driving the vehicle, told Nation.co.ke that he was blocked by individuals on motorbikes.

Homa Bay, Migori ODM primaries moved

ODM has moved its primaries for Homa Bay and Migori Counties that were planned for Friday to Monday next week.

ODM Executive Director Oduor Ong’wen said the nominations in the two counties will now be carried out on the same day with those of Siaya and Kisumu on April 24.

“We have rescheduled the dates and the nominations will now be carried out in the four counties of Homa Bay, Migori, Siaya and Kisumu on the same day on Monday next Week.” – Oduor Mr Ong’wen

Kisii ODM primaries delayed

Voting in the Kisii County ODM nominations has been delayed after polling materials arrived late at the county tallying centre.

Voters at various polling centres were stranded as they awaited delivery of materials.

Parliamentary primaries will only take place in three constituencies of Bomachoge Chache, Bonchari and Kitutu Chache.
