They accuse the national government of failing to help miraa farmers.

Raila arrives in Laare, Meru

Residents of Laare in Igembe North Meru County await the arrival of ODM leader Raila Odinga who is expected to address a rally there.

2.20pm

Youths opposed to Nasa leaders barricade entrance to Meru town main stage with rocks; force Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka to keep off the venue.

National Super Alliance (Nasa) leaders start a three-day tour of Meru County.

Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya) on the tour.

Mr Odinga accuses the media of creating unnecessary anxiety saying the four leaders in Nasa will respect the outcome of the selection process being done by a special technical committee.

A convoy of Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) supporters whose party leader is Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto heads to Olopirik where Narok West MP Patrick ole Ntutu is expected to officially defect to the party from Jubilee.
