IEBC has given parties 10 days – from March 9 to March 19, 2017 - to submit party membership lists.

Jubilee locks out Maina Njenga

Jubilee Party rejects nomination papers of former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga.

Mr Njenga has announced he will vie for the Laikipia senatorial seat.

Jubilee Party’s headquarters in Nairobi cite integrity issues in rejecting Mr Njenga’s papers. , on Friday refused to receive the papers, citing.

Last weekend 30 Laikipia chiefs were threatened with sacking after it emerged they attended a meeting called by Mr Njenga.

Mr Njenga has vowed to unseat Senator GG Kariuki by all means, “including force”.

Wiper says no to joint nominations

Wiper party says it will not agree to joint Nasa nominations in any part of the country.

Secretary-General Hassan Omar says party has extended registration of aspirants to March 11.

This is "due to demand" by aspirants seeking the party’s ticket.

Munya accuses EACC of witch-hunt

Council of Governors Chairman Peter Munya accuses Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission of witch-hunt in its plan to conduct a lifestyle audit on governors

Mr Munya says EACC is being used by politicians to fight governors.

Munya also accuses top Jubilee politicians of “buying out” PNU aspirants in a plot to weaken his party.
