Jon Jolley from Wrexham, in North Wales was forced to climb mount Snowdon in the skimpy underwear to raise money for charity after losing his bet when the Brazilian national team crashed out of the competition following their defeat by Germany in the semi-final.

Mr. Jolley scaled the 3,560ft Snowdon mountain in three and a half hours.

He said: "There were quite a few shocked faces.

"But we couldn't have picked a better day to do it. The weather was great apart from the very end when it got a little foggy at the top - which I guess was a blessing for people at the summit."

Jon has so far raised nearly Sh150,000 (£1000) for the charity, Cancer Research UK - 600 percent more than his original target.
