The US president and his wife Michelle also gifted the son of Britain's Prince William and Duchess Catherine with a blue alpaca wool blanket and a polo mallet made from the branch of an oak tree which once stood on the south lawn of the White House after his birth on July 22 last year.

The details of the gifts were made public ahead of the opening of the 'Royal Childhood' exhibit at Buckingham Palace on Saturday.

ANIMAL THEME

Included in the mountain of gifts he's been presented with over the past year are a baby crocodile from Australia's Northern Territory, named George, that was hatched on the day his conception was announced.

However, due to the lack of a natural saltwater river on the grounds of the palace, the creature has instead remained in Australia and updates are sent to the toddler via the croc's very own Facebook page, People magazine reports.

A number of other adopted animals have also been gifted to the Prince - whose full name is George Alexander Louis - including a goat and a fatted bull from tribal elders in Kenya and three meerkats named George, Alexander and Louis from the Dudley and West Midlands Zoological Society.

In addition to the animal theme, George has also been presented with a collection of sporty rewards including a bike with a plaque inscribed with a crown and the initial "G", a miniature Sealegs amphibious boat that drives on land and rides on water and a customized surfboard with his name printed on it.

The exhibition will last for eight weeks while his grandmother Queen Elizabeth takes her annual trip to Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

The exhibit will also give a glimpse into the childhood of the older royals, with Prince William's geography workbook, Prince Harry's Winnie-the-Pooh nursery chair and Queen Elizabeth's Girl Guides badges all on display.
