The 450th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s birth will be marked through a two-year global tour of Hamlet to every country in the world across seven continents.

The Tragedy of Hamlet, Prince of Denmark, often shortened to Hamlet, written by Shakespeare sometime between 1599 and 1602, dramatises the revenge Prince Hamlet is instructed to exacton his uncle Claudius.

Claudius had murdered his own brother, Hamlet's father King Hamlet, and subsequently seized the throne, marrying his deceased brother's widow, Hamlet's mother, Gertrude.
