This is timely as the launch coincides with the beginning of the peak wedding season in the country.  August to September is traditionally the busiest time for the wedding business industry believed to be worth billions.

The bridal collection featured wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses in the five colours of the soaps. Here are the wedding trends as envisaged by Lux.

Wall of flowers

Since the wedding of the year between Kanye west and Kim Kardashian in May, the wall of flowers is going to be the biggest trend this wedding season.

Posing against the backdrop of petals of your favourite flowers in your theme colours will offer an alternative to the arch of flowers.

Colour in the gown

The bride wears always wears white, however, the modern wedding gowns have taken on some colour and detailing. While the star of the show was this risqué gown, it will most likely send the mother if the bride into a faint long before the disapproving mother –in-law in the presence of shocked guests.

Conceal and reveal

The dresses on the runway feature sheer fabrics that allow to reveal at the same time conceal some flesh for some added interest in the mystery. The sheer panels served to add some modesty to the gowns that would have been otherwise too revealing.

Show some leg

This season, the leg will demand to be seen. What better way to show some kicks than in this bridesmaid dress that reveals just the right amount of flesh.

Ballads

What is a love story without a ballad? The event’s soundtrack was provided by the hottest boy-band in town. The smooth Sauti Sol crooned for the guests as love was ignited in the chilly city.
