Rapper, actor and television executive Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has admitted that he was behind last week’s leaking of three episodes of the highly popular show, Power.

The episodes were leaked online and the rapper admitted he did it to boost ratings.

“POWER ratings up another 10 per cent for episode 408. They glad I leaked the s**t now. Lol #Savagelife Now watch what I do on BET. #50Centralbet,” he wrote on Instagram.

50 Cent is an executive producer on the hit show.

Initially, Starz, the television network on which the show airs had released a statement addressing the leak.

“The final three episodes of Power’s fourth season were leaked online due to a breach of the press screening room. This seems to be a case of password sharing that resulted in home made videos of the episodes which were taped off a TV screen and posted online. Starz has begun forensic investigations and will take legal action against the responsible parties,” the statement read.
