Last Wednesday night, Nigerian musician Dammy Krane went on a Twitter rant accusing Trace TV of discrimination. The singer, who was allegedly arrested in June in the United States for credit card fraud and car theft, accused Trace TV of discriminating him by refusing to play his songs.
Krane, real name Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, called out the Head of Programming, Trace Naija, and directed his Twitter rants at him.
“I just want my fans to know the person behind the reason they don’t see my videos on Trace TV, his name is Nosa Omoregie,” Krane began.
“I’m really gonna be taking things seriously. He collected my money and he still didn’t play the videos. I just got back, my management already sent in ‘Prayer’ video I have been giving him all videos for two years and he has been ignoring them, out of what is called natural hatred,” he continued and concluded by calling out Omoregie: “There’s a man in ‘Trace’ Nigeria, some sort of head there called Nosa Omoregie,”
Krane was signed to 2Baba’s (2 Face Idibia) record label in 2012 but left for Davido’s label in 2016. The musician, however, deleted his tweets and issued an apology to Omoregie, saying: “Sometimes u expect more from family, the smallest things pain the most. I apologise for coming out that way on Nosa. Video on ‘Trace’ next week.”
