SHOWBUZZ: Did L Jay lie about sending Sh150,000 to Muhando?

What you need to know:

  • Muhando is seeking a balance of Sh150,000, meant to be part of the payment for the collabo song she did with L Jay a couple of months ago.

The drama between gospel singers Rose Muhando from Tanzania and L Jay Maasai from Kenya is far from over.

Muhando is seeking a balance of Sh150,000, meant to be part of the payment for the collabo song she did with L Jay a couple of months ago.

L Jay managed to pay only the first instalment of Sh150,000 but is yet to clear the balance. Last week, L Jay told Muhando that he had deposited the balance in her bank account. One week later, the cash is yet to reflect in her account.

“I have never given L Jay my account number, which account is he depositing the money in?” said a furious Muhando. “We have transacted only via Western Union money transfer and not through bank accounts.”

Speaking to L Jay, he insists that a company he is working with, Bold E. M Ltd, was responsible of making the payment.

“As far as I’m concerned, the money has been paid to Muhando. I even have documents to show it. If not, this has to go the legal way. It will be sorted out eventually,” he told Showbuzz on Friday. However, on the same Friday, Muhando still maintained that she was yet to receive the money.
