I will revamp Bongo Flava again, says AY

Renowned Tanzanian rapper Ambwene Yessaya, popularly known as AY, who started off the year with a remix of the hit single Zigo featuring Diamond, says he will revolutionise Bongo Flava music, especially music videos.
The two popular musicians shot the new video in South Africa. It has already garnered over 1.5 million YouTube views.
“I’m introducing a new style of work in Bongo Flava music in releasing music videos. I believe this will have a ripple effect and create a revolution like the one I started previously, which had me perform abroad and secured successful international
collaborations,” he said.
He also revealed that he decided to work with fellow Bongo star Diamond because he felt working with a Tanzanian would make the genre stronger without having to depend on musicians from abroad.
“This is just a sign that we Tanzanians can do it all by ourselves, or as the people of East Africa. We can create something as big as what other people do,” he sa
