Matonya did not write ‘Vaileti’ hit

It’s nine years since the hit song Vaileti took East Africa by storm and introduced Matonya as a Bongo Flava sensation. But to date, Tanzanian musician Tunda Man from the group Tip Top Connection claims he wrote the song, and not Matonya.
Until Matonya admits it, Tunda Man does not see their beef ending any time soon. Speaking to East Africa Radio on the programme, Planet Bongo, Tunda Man said Matonya needs to tell the truth so they can resolve the issue.
“He knows the truth; that’s why I’m saying he’s the one creating beef. He knows everything about Vaileti and he needs to tell people that I wrote the song and he sang it,” said Tunda Man.
