What you need to know:

  • Club Sound used to host Paragasha but it was suddenly closed down. At the time, I was doing Siri and Shuga and I was also in my third year in university. So when I went away, it also went away with me.

Singer Anto Neosoul has revealed why his brainchild Paragasha, a platform that nurtures up-and-coming artistes and which is set to make a comeback this Easter, became a short-lived dream. Speaking to Showbuzz, Anto said the venue that used to host the event abruptly closed down and he was caught off-guard.

“Club Sound used to host Paragasha but it was suddenly closed down. At the time, I was doing Siri and Shuga and I was also in my third year in university. So when I went away, it also went away with me. The problem was, it wasn’t a company then; it was just an event. Now we have people we are mentoring and I’m only there to help push it or close deals.”

He further says that the mistake he made was using Paragasha to grow his brand.

However, he now intends to use his influence in the industry to grow up-and-coming artistes’ brands.
