Two weeks after their performance in Nairobi, Jamaican legendary reggae group Morgan Heritage is still in Kenya.

Their over-stay is yet to be explained but they have been busy with activities all over Nairobi. The group has been showing up at organised events, and snubbing others. For instance, last weekend, they were meant to spend some time at Mutaratara Learning Centre in Dagoretti, according to information shared with the media. However, the Saturday event was cancelled without any explanation.

Jemere Morgan chose to go for a live TV interview instead, while it is not clear what the rest were up to. On Friday morning, they were meant to interact with University of Nairobi students on a programme organised by the Youth Enterprise Development Fund.

When asked why they were still in Kenya? Mojo Morgan gave this writer a very vague answer; “We are here because we feel at home and we want to be a part of the development of Africa. The youth need jobs and positivity. Africa is the future. Africans move to America everyday. Now it’s time for Americans like us to come back home.”
