Kenyan actor Nick Mutuma is one of the hardest working men in showbiz at the moment.
In 2016 he filmed a web series with Nigerian actress Chiagoziem Nwakanma in a show called 'This Is It'. The show follows the first year journey of young clueless newlyweds, how they adjust to life together, dealing with friends and a little drama.
Mutuma, who is back for the 5th season of MTV Shuga which was filmed in South Africa, admits that it was great to start the year off working on such a quality production alongside some of the finest talent in Africa.
He is even more excited about the fact that he has more projects lined up across the continent.
“It’s amazing that the African film industry is finally coming together and working towards a common goal to bring quality to the African narrative,” he tells Buzz.
‘This Is It’ series follows the first year journey of the young newlyweds Dede and Tomide through their journey of settling into a new life faced with random, unexpected everyday issues.
Mutuma’s breakout role was in Tabasamu, where he played a young student who was having a relationship with a sugar mummy, while still a student at USIU, studying a degree in International Business Management.
