Juliani is the face of ‘Ndovu music contest’
Top rapper Juliani is the face of a new music campaign, the “Ndovu Music Contest”, powered by the Hands Off Our Elephants initiative. In this contest, musicians from all over Africa are supposed to record music with either a topic on wildlife conservation or on saving the elephants, and submit them for judging.
According to the officials from Hands off Our Elephants, the winners, mostly targeting upcoming artistes, will have an opportunity to do a collabo with Juliani.

Self proclaimed billionaire rapper and founder of the “Beats By Dre” headphones now says that he is losing billions of dollars, thanks to fake headphones from China, bearing his company’s name. In a new development, Dr Dre is suing counterfeit producers who are costing him a fortune. In the lawsuit, Beats claims a nefarious group of unnamed websites based in China are getting filthy rich selling cheaply-made, counterfeit headphones, bearing the red “b” logo, and raking in more than $135 billion in revenue, according to entertainment website TMZ.

Vera Sidika auditioned for Big Brother Africa
Kenya’s top socialite Vera Sidika was among the hopefuls who showed up for the Big Brother Africa reality show auditions in Nairobi last week, Showbuzz can confirm.
Vera joined hundreds of other reality TV wannabes at the auditions held in a Nairobi hotel.We can also confirm that rapper Kanja and Mseto East Africa crew member Sameer Bry also auditioned for Africa’s biggest reality show. Big Brother Africa reality show will begin in September this year in Johannesburg, South Africa.

I am now ‘Bwana DNA’: Rapper rebrands
After leaving Grandpa records last month, rapper DNA is on a mission to rebrand himself. He says from now on he will be referred to as “Bwana DNA” and plans to work with musicians across the continent. “When you google DNA, so many different results come up,” he says. “I have decided to include “Bwana” so as to be more unique.” He also says that he will be recording with different musicians both in the country and across Africa. He also released new publicity photos to go with his new identity.
