Why Avril cancelled Kakamega show

Singer Avril was last week forced to cancel her show in Kakamega at the last minute.

The singer took to her social media pages and apologised to her fans who were expecting her on stage, claiming that it was due to contractual reasons.

Speaking to Showbuzz on Friday, Avril said that the club started advertising the show before they could agree on the performance fees and contracts signed.

“I am a professional artiste, I follow contracts and I expect every promoter to do the same. It’s the only way Kenyan music industry can grow,” she said.
