  • “I ignored the phone call, then when a message came in saying it was from the Deputy President, I ignored it even more, thinking it was Kamiti Prison inmates joking around as usual,” Churchill told Showbuzz.

During the launch of Jaguar Youth Empowerment Foundation on Wednesday evening, Deputy President William Ruto said during his speech that he had tried to reach Churchill Show host Daniel Ndambuki on phone but in vain. “I must confess this today,” said Ruto.

“While I was watching an episode of Churchill Show, there were some people who were asked several questions. Then one question was, what is the difference between a Vice President in the old constitution and a Deputy President in the new constitution.”

Apparently, the answer was, a Vice President was nominated but a Deputy President was a property developer.

Churchill, now that you are here for this launch, do not be afraid why I was calling you. It is true I am a property developer,” he said.

When Showbuzz later asked Churchill if he had actually received the phone call, he said yes.

“I ignored the phone call, then when a message came in saying it was from the Deputy President, I ignored it even more, thinking it was Kamiti Prison inmates joking around as usual,” Churchill told Showbuzz.
