Early last year, news circulated that gospel singer Rufftone had been appointed the goodwill ambassador for the Republic of South Korea.

There were pictures of Rufftone in the entertainment pages as he visited the South Korean embassy in Nairobi.

However, it now turns out that Rufftone had not signed any documentation to confirm his ambassadorship, so he was not able to perform any duty and travel to Korea as had earlier been planned.

“There has been a lot of changes of guard at the embassy, that’s what caused the delay,” Rufftone told Showbuzz. Last Monday, Rufftone finally signed the documents confirming him as the goodwill ambassador of the Republic of South Korea.

“It means now I will be able to travel to South Korea’s capital for induction before engaging in several activities in this partnership,” he said.

This is not the first time Rufftone has been involved with the Asian country. A few years back, he was the brand ambassador of a Korean energy drink, Vita500.
