Mohenjo Daro is a UNESCO World Heritage site situated in the province of Sindh, Pakistan. Mohenjo Daro, is an adventure and romance film written and directed by Indian cinema’s master craftsman Ashutosh Gowarikar is a fictional love story. It features Hrithik Roshan and newcomer Pooja Hegde in lead romantic roles with veteran actor Kabir Bedi acting as the villain.

The political elite symbolised by Kabir Bedi bids to usurp power and wealth as ruler of the city and a stumbling block against the romantic relationship of the commoner and the chosen one of the goddess.

The film’s writer and director is India’s leading film maker who has given us movies like Lagaan which received an Oscar nomination. It featured villagers in British India who challenge their rulers’ tax imposition with a game of cricket. His Jodha Akbar was a beautiful rendition of the love legend of a Mughal Emperor and his Hindu wife.

And last week, Indian and Pakistani nationals residing in Kenya marked Independence Day of their respective countries  with patriotic fervor.

Kenbharti Centre, a local group, dedicated to the promotion of arts culture and literary activities presented Ma Tujhe Salaam, a musical evening at the Oshwal Junior High Auditorium Parklands. The High commissioner of India, Suchitra Durai led a group of enthusiastic audience to enjoy a rare feast of patriotic songs presented by members of the centre.
