are some of them:

Almond oil: A rich  oil that is helpful for dry, sensitive skin.

Apple cider vinegar: Used as a skin tonic, it helps to balance the skins acidity.

Alum: A skin tightening ingredient that helps to harden bedsores.

Bicarbonate of soda: Used as a dry shampoo and a breath freshener when brushing teeth.

Calamine lotion: Helps to soothe irritated skin. Very helpful as an after sun lotion and for treating chicken pox.

Castor oil: Helps stimulate hair growth.

Coconut oil: Excellent anti-ageing skin oil. Also used on hair and scalp to promote hair growth and prevent dandruff.

Cod liver oil: Taken internally, it helps to improve prematurely aging skin.

Corn oil: Suitable for massage.

Glycerin: A humectants which holds and attracts water. Useful when used in moderation to improve dry skin.

Honey: Makes a soothing face mask for dry, tired skin.

Lemon: Used to bleach skin and hair.

Mineral oil: This transparent oil also known as baby oil does not penetrate the skin. Useful as a makeup remover.

Olive oil: Very helpful in improving the overall texture and health of the skin. Good for cooking and can be applied as a moisturiser.

Paw paw: Contains enzymes which dissolve dead skin on the surface while providing a deep-cleansing effect. 

Salt: An antiseptic to wash and treat wounds.
