THE SKIN IS a living organ and as such, it requires revitalisation every now and then. When your skin is revitalised, it starts to look fresh and healthy. It also functions better because the clean pores are now more efficient outlets for dirt, oil and sweat.

If you have been using make up, lotions, creams, sunscreens and other products for a long time, this process becomes necessary too.

Here is how to do it.

You will need:

Deep cleansing products. Natural ingredients will give the best results. Try natural soap and plain yoghurt to remove surface dirt.

After this, exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells by using pineapple juice. It contains enzymes that dissolve dead skin.

Follow this with gentle steaming and the application of a paw paw mask. Rinse your face with luke warm water and avoid the use of makeup, cream, oils etc for one week. Cleanse your face daily with natural soap or yoghurt.

During this time, it is advisable to drink plenty of water. After a week, your skin will be clean and glowing. You may then resume your usual skin care and make up application.
