HYDROTHERAPY, OR water therapy is one of the oldest ways to care naturally for your skin. Water in its pure form is not only therapeutic, it may also contain healing additives to cater for all types of skin problems and bodily ailments. Here are some of the most efficient treatments you may try using water.

Balneotherapy: This means bath therapy. Soaking up in a warm bath for 20 to 30 minutes helps to restore moisture to overly dry skin. It also cleans and rejuvenates your entire system. Add minerals such as bicarbonate of soda to the water for a purifying experience. You may add water pressure to create a Jacuzzi effect for a relaxing feeling.

Steam baths: A once weekly steam bath at a gym will help to ease muscles and open up your skin pores. This therapy is helpful if you suffer from back acne or other conditions that require perspiration.

Cold water compression: Ice cold water is often helpful for facial breakouts. If you have a sudden appearance of large, inflamed pimples, the cool sensation will help to reduce and even heal them. Simply tie up a few ice cubes in a clean washcloth and  hold against the affected area for a few minutes.

Internal care: Water not only works wonders on the outside of your skin, it also helps a great deal to drink plenty of it for internal cleansing and purification. With adequate water in your body, your entire system works well to detoxify your skin. You will look and feel healthier and less tired when your water intake is regular.
