The eye area: This is one of the most delicate areas of the skin. Because there are no bones around the eye, muscles can sag easily. The most common signs of aging are crows feet at the edges of the eye, lines beneath the eyes and droopy lids.
To prevent these, sleep with your head facing up. Use eye cream daily from the age of 30. If you require reading glasses, use them to prevent squinting. The same applies to sunglasses. Glare from the sun causes squinting, which in turn leads to premature aging. Using skin lighteners around the eye area makes it thin and unsightly.
The forehead: Fine lines form due to brow raising. Try to keep a straight face. Iron out forehead wrinkles daily for 5 minutes by using the back of a tablespoon and virgin or coconut oil.
The neck ages rapidly because of constant movements. Extreme weight loss will cause the neck skin to loosen. Use neck and throat firming cream is helpful.
The hands: Keep your hands youthful by wearing gloves when working with soap and water. Moisturise frequently with glycerine enriched lotion. At night, don a pair of cotton gloves after applying lotion.
The feet: Accumulated dead skin prevents them from looking soft and supple. Regular pedicures will get rid of this. Apply lotion daily to counter dryness.
The elbows: Dry elbows can be treated by weekly exfoliation. The use of oil helps to keep elbows soft.
