What you need to know:

  • This one is a lewdly morbid cartoon comedy about a half man half horse who has been commissioned to write a memoir on his life – if he can get off the couch long enough to do it.
  • If someone had just told me that Will Arnett was in it, I would have gotten on the BoJack train much earlier.

Two reviews from two earnest TV watchers later, this seemed like a good idea to pursue. Was it? Am I too far behind this to catch up (it is three seasons in)?

No. In fact, I am going to catch all of it. I am so excited that I have a series to look forward to. It’s an adult swim cartoon, a la South Park without the farfetched humour, although an anthropomorphic half man half horse is farfetched in itself. Arnett’s spot-on depiction however kind of makes you forget that this is what you’re watching. I confess I did not have many laugh out loud moments, but I was smiling all through the first episode.
